Mother's Day 2008

We visited FBHC on Sunday morning making a total of 27 family members present with Grandma Krick (counting her); however, she was beat by someone who had 29! It was a packed house. Janiece was kind enough to take this picture for me and send it my way. I forgot my camera of all things. We had dinner with Rodney's family (um, yep, all 27 plus Sherry's in-laws and Dennis's mom giving us a total of 30).
One of my gifts. A guy locally makes these baskets out of recycled milk jugs. I got one for my mom last year and wanted one for me but never bought one. He just happened to have a booth set up in the mall Mother's Day weekend so I got my basket!

The front of the card Steven made me at school
The inside
Isn't he sweet? I think I'll keep him. I've decided that no gift, no matter how much it cost or how much we wanted it, could be any better than these handmade items and the simple, unconditional love of your children. Styles and tastes change over the years and at some point our "stuff" will be given away because we want something different but love never changes and I will have it the rest of my life!
I love my children (even though sometimes I feel like beating my head on the wall)!!

Your basket is neat, maybe I should have followed you to the mall after breakfast, ha! --The card from Steven is so cute! He is getting so handsome and the girls are adorable! Glad to see you all this weekend!

Great pic of you and your little ones! What a sweet boy Steven is! Girls are a lot of fun, but I'm tellin' ya, there isn't anything sweeter than a little boy who loves his mommy!!

It was so nice to see you. I need to post the pic that Janiece took (or did Tony take it? I think Janiece did but with my camera)...anyway, after all my telling Janiece to have a get-together so we could "get together" we will have company on the day she set up. I'm so annoyed...why does everything happen on the same day?
